DESCRIPTION: 

As the Software Quality Engineer, you will work in a cross-functional team which is developing innovative security applications. The Software Quality Engineer works closely with our functional and development teams to ensure the systems built and maintained meet expectation and integrate well with other systems. The Software Quality Engineer is expected to drive to quality by all available means.

The ideal candidate will be a strong team contributor, will be eager to learn, be persistent in developing their craft as a software professional, will seek other’s experience, and will find great satisfaction in the patient pursuit of excellence. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts (e.g., unit-tests, regression tests, functional tests, stress tests)
• Conducting tests (manually and automated) before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and data is accurate
• Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality
• Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines 
• Provide test run results to management and business teams
• Experience in driving development and deployment of relevant testing tools and infrastructure
• Detail oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with passion for quality processes
• Develops mastery of specific systems or subsystems
• Assists with debug and troubleshooting of system issues
• Able to work with minimal supervision

Skills & Requirements:

  • BS and/or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, GUI, JDBC, C++, C#
  • Experience testing systems at scale
  • Web frameworks (jQuery, Bootstrap, and similar)
  • Data management (SQL, XML, JSON, JPA)
  • Web services
  • Automation testing
  • Continuous Integration and Delivery
  • Agile methodologies
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of multithreading, inter-process communications, caching, and networking
  • Working knowledge of common IDEs such as Eclipse and NetBeans
  • Working knowledge of version control systems
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment
  • Experience with signal processing, algorithm development, or a strong mathematical background is a plus
