DESCRIPTION:
This position will provide logistics provisioning support which includes design, planning, execution, and documentation tasks.The selected applicant may be asked to perform a wide range of logistics-related tasks within the organization. These tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Lead in defining, drafting and executing Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs)
• Lead logistic activities to meet cost and schedule
• Work closely with other team members to define and build bills of materials (BOMs)
• Ensure compliance with any import or export controls
• Lead ordering, tracking, receiving, and shipping of all products, parts and materials ensuring that they are delivered on time, all accounted for, and replenished as required.
• Define and manage processes for overall program logistic activities
• Define and manage proper identification, labeling, inventorying and tracking to meet internal and external requirements
• Identify appropriate vendors to meet company logistic objectives
• Establish and maintain an accurate and reliable material control system
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into internal and customer logistic systems
• Provide effective analysis of inventory based on materials usage and schedule
• Lead logistics provisioning activities and provide logistics management documentation
• Generate Logistical Support Analysis (LSA) reports/data packages
• Develop Design Change Notification (DCN) packages
• Develop spares and consumables packages
• Plan/Schedule and execute or coordinate technical documentation efforts
The Coordinator builds relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers through effective, direct communications.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations to ensure that logistic activities and associated documentation are completed in an efficient manner within existing financial constraints and procedures to meet customer needs and company objectives.
Skills & Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Military or government logistics training and 10 years of supply support/provisioning experience
- Must have a working knowledge of and demonstrated experience in leading logistic activities in support of field deployable systems
- Self-starter, highly organized, persistent, and with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communications and problem-solving skills
- Reasonable proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, etc.) and other software of similar complexity
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with military or government supply management and maintenance management
- Experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Experience with parts supply/inventory management and operation and maintenance, especially field deployed –based
- Willingness to travel
