3-2-1-Ignition, Secure Launch

By June 20, 2012Industry News, QTSI News

June 20, 2012 (Cape Canaveral, FL) – An Atlas V rocket carrying a secret National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) payload lifted off from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The launch required exceptional security due to the sensitive nature of the rocket’s payload. Thus, through an Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) contract, Quantum Technology Sciences, Inc. (QTSI) invisibly installed its 6th Sense system underground near the launch pad as an extra measure of security and surveillance for the complex by monitoring the land, air, and waterways around the facility to validate pre-launch security.

The QTSI 6th Sense system enables proactive security in real time by providing situational awareness beyond the normal security perimeter. On top of safeguarding rocket launch activities at America’s Spaceport, QTSI security and surveillance systems can help protect high value assets, critical infrastructure, international borders, and other perimeters.
